John, Margaret Moore just
conceded to José Garza for the District Attorney seat in Austin, TX!
In an incredible blowout, Garza currently leads Moore with 68% of the
tallied early vote! While the gap may change as in-person votes are
counted, it is clear that Garza is the winner.
This victory is a testament to the work of our volunteers, organizers, and
the work you do every day to power our mission of transforming our
country’s criminal legal systems.
John, we
can’t slow down now. We have 4 more endorsed candidates with elections
coming up in the next few weeks. [ [link removed] ]Can you make a

José’s victory is proof of the power of our movement. But we still have
work to do. Next he’ll go up against his Republican opponent in November.
José will work to transform the District Attorney’s office in Austin — to
stop locking up the poor, treat survivors with dignity, treat substance
abuse as a public health issue, and protect immigrant communities.
This is a critical moment for our movement,
John. And we cannot let this momentum slip
away. [ [link removed] ]Can you make a contribution right now to help our elected
candidates secure landslide victories like José's?
Let’s do this!
