Hello,

After seven weeks of delays, excuses, and denying Arizona voters the right to representation, Rep. Adelita Grijalva was finally sworn in to Congress.

Because of supporters like you speaking up and refusing to accept this injustice, the public outcry grew too loud to ignore. And when the government shutdown ended, Speaker Johnson had no choice but to swear her in.

But this victory doesn’t erase what happened. It’s not the first time extremist politicians have tried to overturn longstanding norms for political gain, and it certainly won’t be the last.

That’s why we need to stay vigilant to safeguard our democracy and stand up against attacks on our elections. Will you join our fight to protect the vote by making a contribution toward our year-round organizing work today?

Voting Rights Fund wasn’t created just to defend voting rights — we elect the leaders who will expand and protect them. Our aim is to keep our operational costs as low as possible so a majority of our funds go toward doing the work that needs to be done. That means building a national bench of lawmakers who will fight tooth and nail to expand access to the ballot box and protect our right to vote at every level of government.
