Friends, More Americans are starting to see President Trump for the unmitigated failure that he is — and that’s making him desperate. Speaking earlier today, on national television from the White House Rose Garden, Trump disparaged the hard work my colleagues and I did in developing the recommendations of our Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force. He chose to once again divide Americans by scapegoating immigrants in an attempt to distract from his failure to protect Americans from the pandemic. Meanwhile, more than 135,000 Americans have died, tens of millions are out of work, and COVID-19 cases continue to break records across the country. , this is yet another stark reminder about how important November’s election is and why we need a president who unites people, values the contributions of immigrants, and truly puts working families first. That’s why I was honored to co-chair the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force on immigration where we put forward a pro-immigrant vision for our future.
