Hey John, it’s Josh.

I just left the Capitol where I voted to release the Epstein files. It passed almost unanimously by a vote of 427 to 1 – a complete rebuke of Donald Trump.

This vote has been months and months in the making. Frankly, it never should have taken this long. But Republicans have been willing to fall on their swords for years in order to protect Trump.

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump and Speaker Johnson have been scrambling to stop this vote. Just days ago, Trump called Rep. Lauren Boebert to the situation room in an effort to change her vote. But then the dam broke - MAGA was going to vote yes. Trump quickly tried to save face by saying he now supports the release of the files. Do not believe him.

This can’t be about politics. It’s about truth, justice, and accountability. The survivors have waited far too long for this day to come, and the American people deserve to know exactly who was involved in this horrific abuse.

I’m proud of my vote. Now it’s time for the public to see what’s in the files and hold the perpetrators accountable.
