Politico: “Trump administration drops plan to deport international students in online-only classes”

We’re winning. After mounting public pressure and our lawsuit to block this dangerous policy, the Trump administration just DROPPED its threat to deport international students if they attend online-only college courses during this pandemic.
This is a big win for everyone because it ensures our schools aren’t forced to hold in-person college courses and become coronavirus super-spreaders in our communities.
It’s also a big win for the rule of law. Again and again, we see the Trump administration trying to sidestep the laws of our country. We’ve filed 86 lawsuits against President Trump to stop these illegal actions and protect our healthcare, our environment, and our families.
Trump just did something he rarely does: He backed down… but our work isn’t over. We must keep doing our part to hold President Trump accountable. Team: Can you stand with us as we keep this momentum going?
President Trump’s arbitrary actions are putting American lives at risk. Our values won today, but we won’t rest until this stops.
