I'll shoot ya' straight — I'd rather have a back-alley colonoscopy than cave to the demands Chuck Schumer was making for the Socialist Wing of the Democrat Party.

He's lucky some of his colleagues were willing to bail him out of the Government Shutdown—because we were never going to give that up.

They tried to ram through a bill packed with:
• Runaway spending that would make a drunken sailor blush,
• Regulations that would smother small businesses like a wet blanket, and
• New federal control over parts of your life they have no business touching.

And they expect me — and every other Republican — to roll over, play dead, and pretend this is "normal."

Well, John, I didn't come to Washington to make it easier for bureaucrats to boss you around. I came here to stand up for American families, our values, and good old-fashioned common sense.

But here's the truth:
To stop this nonsense, I need you in the foxhole with me.
