Big news: we’re suing Uber and Lyft.
 
For too long, Uber and Lyft have taken advantage of their workers by misclassifying them as independent contractors instead of employees, denying them a guaranteed minimum wage, overtime, and paid sick time.
 
 
 
These protections are even more important in the midst of the pandemic because Uber and Lyft drivers face an increased risk of exposure. The companies dragged their feet before finally providing temporary paid leave, but it doesn’t even comply with the Massachusetts Earned Sick Time Law.
 
 
 
 
As long as I am your Attorney General, I won’t let any company exploit their workers. We will see Uber and Lyft in court.
