House set to vote on release of Epstein documents TODAY as Trump finally caves

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump makes shocking admission in ongoing Epstein debacle

After months of stonewalling and screaming "HOAX" to anyone within earshot, a decidedly raspy-voiced MAGA cult leader pledged yesterday that he would now sign any bill that lands on his desk to finally release the infamous Epstein files and expose whatever — and whomever — he and his Justice Department have been shielding from public scrutiny for far too long. By going on the record in the Oval Office with cameras rolling, Trump has made it that much harder for himself to pivot yet again — as he is often wont to do — if and when both chambers of Congress vote in favor of NOT protecting pedophiles and sex predators from accountability. Time will soon tell.

Take Action: Impeach Trump's FCC chairman Brendan Carr!

"It’s OK with me": Trump suggests he might bomb Mexico to "stop drugs"
Speaking to reporters at the White House yesterday, America's wannabe dictator casually suggested he might expand his extrajudicial killing spree from suspected drug-runners on the high seas to attacks on land, including our stalwart ally to the south, Mexico. "It’s OK with me," Trump said. "Whatever we have to do to stop drugs. Mexico is, look, I looked at Mexico City over the weekend, some big problems over there." We know this sure seems like the sort of thing you shouldn't have to say out loud, but you cannot just go around dropping bombs on your neighbors. The MAGA cult leader claimed he'd have the support of Republicans and Democrats alike in Congress to launch such an offensive "unless they're crazy" and suggested he wouldn't bother discussing any military action with Mexico's government ahead of time before doing so. Someone get this man a Nobel already!

Take Action: Tell NBC to stand with Seth Meyers and don't let Trump kill free speech!

Trump's cruelty leaves millions in Thanksgiving bind

The shutdown may finally be over, but the financial pain that so many American families felt from going for weeks without food stamps or paychecks is still very real. Still more American families are reeling from sky-high prices from Trump’s tariffs or have lost their jobs as Corporate America fires workers by the tens of thousands. That's why the No Kid Hungry nonprofit is organizing a Friendsgiving fundraising drive to get the community involved and help make sure people get the food they need. Will you step up and help feed American kids in need?

Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers steps down from public commitments after Epstein emails

Larry Summers, who served in both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama administrations and was president of Harvard University from 2001 to 2006, announced he was stepping back from public commitments after the release of emails showing he maintained a close relationship with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein long after the financier pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from an underage girl in 2008. In a statement that surely cost him a small fortune to craft, Summers said, "I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein." You can just hear the lawyers massaging the phrasing to minimize Summers' liability, can't ya? We don't know who needs to hear this, and this surely won't be the last time it applies in the case of Epstein, but Summers isn't ashamed of maintaining a close friendship with a known sex predator and child trafficker. He's ashamed of getting caught. BIG distinction.

Judge scolds Pam Bondi's Justice Department for "profound investigative missteps" in Comey case
We know this is going to come as a bit of a shock, but Pam Bondi's DOJ bent a bunch of rules and skirted several laws in its vengeance-fueled crusade to secure an indictment against former FBI Director James Comey to appease and please one Donald J. Trump. Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick excoriated Bondi's MAGA goon squad for making "fundamental misstatements of the law" and ordered them to hand over all grand jury materials from the case to Comey's defense lawyers. "The Court recognizes that the relief sought by the defense is rarely granted," Fitzpatrick wrote. "However, the record points to a disturbing pattern of profound investigative missteps, missteps that led an FBI agent and a prosecutor to potentially undermine the integrity of the grand jury proceeding." In plainspeak, Bondi has weaponized the Department of Justice to exact revenge on people who ran afoul of the MAGA cult leader or dared to hold him accountable for his many unethical and downright criminal transgressions, and the judicial branch — in this particular instance, at least — thankfully isn't having it.

Take Action: Demand Trump drop his retaliatory investigation of NY AG Letitia James!

Trump’s Border Patrol boss asks random Brown-skinned man if he speaks English
Racial profiling is alive and well in Donald Trump's America, folks! We call it fascism because it is fascism, but it doesn't have to be like this. Let's all do our part and remember next November.

Pope Leo turns heat up on politicians over climate at UN talks ghosted by Trump administration
Pope Leo XIV on Monday urged countries at United Nations climate talks to take "concrete actions" to stop climate change that is threatening the planet, telling them humans are failing in their response to global warming and that God’s creation "is crying out in floods, droughts, storms, and relentless heat." In a video message played for religious leaders gathered in Belem, Leo said nations had made progress, "but not enough." "One in three people live in great vulnerability because of these climate changes," Leo said. "To them, climate change is not a distant threat, and to ignore these people is to deny our shared humanity."

More than half of US homes lost value in the past year
Donald Trump and MAGA gaslighters be damned, the American economy is in trouble. Affordability, despite Lord Goldemort's farcical proclamations otherwise, is a real kitchen-table crisis, but the problem goes far beyond the price of groceries. The very homes those kitchen tables sit inside are losing their value, too — a troubling trend not seen at such levels since 2012, when the country was working its way out of yet another economic debacle courtesy of a failed Republican administration, the Great Recession. As of October, 53% of homes in the country lost value in the past year, according to Zillow. And even though prices have been cooling in much of the country and inventory levels have climbed, buyer demand simply hasn't kept up, as interest rates hover above 6% and the overall cost of living continues to stretch wallets ever thinner. If this is what great again looks like, can we please just go back to whatever we were before?

Pardoned Capitol rioter tried to hush child sex victim with promise of Jan. 6 reparation money, police say
Jan. 6 insurrectionist Andrew Johnson, pardoned by Donald Trump earlier this year despite pleading guilty to violently entering the US Capitol and disorderly conduct, was arraigned in a Florida court in October on multiple sex crimes, including molesting a child as young as 11 years old. Johnson dangled the prospect that one of his child victims could receive money in exchange for their silence because, Johnson claimed, he was entitled to $10 million as part of mythical reparations for his Jan. 6 arrest. Johnson said he would put the victim in his will to receive any of the money left after his death, so long as they didn't report his unconscionable crimes. Johnson joins a growing list of US Capitol rioters pardoned by Trump who now face new legal trouble. Yeah, it's almost like Donald's failed insurrection wasn't just a one-off for A LOT of these deplorable knuckledraggers.
