Dear Friends,
We are so very grateful for your past donation to The COLAB Foundation. Would you please consider donating again this year?
The COLAB Foundation exists to lessen the burden of government! Hopefully, that is a cause you still believe in! We are a bonafide and legitimate charitable endeavor, i.e. a 501c3 tax exempt foundation.
The COLAB Foundation is a public charity formed to procure funding for the Santa Barbara County Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business (COLAB) and other select non-profit entities to advance education and science, combat community deterioration and lessen the burden of government.
COLAB can receive funds from other foundations, as well as, individuals who don’t own their own business! That means that everyone who contributes to the COLAB Foundation can write off their contributions.
COLAB is doing MORE now than ever! We have embarked on a BRAND NEW social and digital media marketing campaign that has reached over 120,000 people in our first month! Our columns in the Santa Barbara Current, the California Globe, and Cal Coast News reach up to 40,000 people weekly. On top of that, we continue to produce 2-minute commentaries that air five days a week on six radio stations. Our daily two-hour radio show, also on six stations, covers the Central Coast from Atascadero to Ventura five days a week! For 26 years in a row, we have been recognized as the top government watchdog of Santa Barbara County!
Of course, the donations to the COLAB Foundation can only be used to educate the public about the work that COLAB and others are doing in our community, but we have been educating people all along!
Who else besides COLAB has a daily radio show which features scholars from across the land, and local leaders, serving to inform, educate and mobilize the Central Coast? These scholars include the Heritage Foundation, the Pacific Legal Foundation, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association along with outstanding reporters such as Katy Grimes. What other organization has penned 2,500 opinion columns educating the public about all the issues that are otherwise ignored by the media?
We understand how discouraging it is to live and work in California these days. As an American, do you feel like you have been taken hostage by virtue of the fact that you live in California? While the rest of the country has every reason to anticipate regulatory and tax relief by way of the Trump administration, are you wondering if any of the benefits will trickle across our state border because our state taxes and regulations independently stand as a defiant xxxxxx against meaningful reform?
Our ability to reach even more people is only limited by the financial resources we have at our disposal. We believe we can reach more people by way of social media, in addition to radio and print, and thereby have a greater effect. But that is only made possible if we can secure more support from the residents of our region who feel the same way we do about our economy, our rights and our dreams for our families.
The foundation will promote the use of scientific data and educational materials to support land stewardship, protect agricultural assets, and preserve economic livelihoods. In addition, the foundation will partner with business and agricultural organizations to foster government transparency, business-friendly regulations, ordinances, and government programs and act as a fiscal sponsor agent for COLAB to obtain funding from individuals, foundations and businesses.
Donations to The COLAB Foundation are deductible IRC Section 170 as the foundation is an IRS-approved 501 C3 public charity.
