Hi John,

I’m Ben, and I am so excited to let you know that I just joined Team Spanberger as a Finance Associate!

Before joining this incredible team, I interned at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and on Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s 2018 campaign. On both of those teams, I was lucky enough to see our hard work pay off and as we helped elect thoughtful leaders to important seats nationwide.

I have witnessed firsthand how much grassroots support and donations can propel a difficult race from a long-shot to a toss-up to winnable. I am excited to be a part of this campaign and motivated to work hard to re-elect Abigail Spanberger in VA-07!

Now, as I join the Spanberger Team, I want to encourage you all to help us move this campaign, once a “Safe Republican seat”, from a “Toss Up” to a Spanberger win!

This week, Bettina, Whitney, and I have been discussing critical deadlines and goals coming up for the finance team. Grassroots donations are more important this election cycle than ever before.

With so much of face-to-face campaigning being too high-risk with the ongoing pandemic, we will have to meet Virginia voters on social media, with yard signs, through phone banks, texting, and more. We cannot do this work without generous donations from supporters like you.
