Michigan and Wisconsin have a lot in common. We both have economies built on the manufacturing industry, a respect for our natural resources and our Great Lakes — and of course, we both make some pretty good beer.

Gary and I have worked together to fight for quality, affordable health care in the Senate for years, but now he’s facing a tough re-election battle. To make matters worse, Trump and Republicans will spend whatever it takes to replace him with another lapdog in Washington.

Big-money groups and special interests are flooding millions into his GOP opponent’s campaign coffers to keep their grip on power in the Senate. That’s why his opponent has outraised Gary the past four financial quarters — and just outraised him this past quarter by over $1 million.

Look, if we don’t defend Michigan’s Senate seat, Democrats will have no chance at taking back the Senate. Even Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight says that if Republicans can win in Michigan this November, they can keep control of the Senate.
