Track confirmed ICE sightings in NC

If ICE comes to your house or stops you in your car:

1. Lock the door. Start recording, preferably to social media.
2. Call Siembra, NC: 336-543-0353 or your attorney.
3. Ask if they have a signed judicial warrant. A judicial warrant begins with the phrase "District Court" or "State Court." Ask them to slide the search warrant under the door or show it through a window.
4. Do not open the door unless an ICE agent can show you a warrant signed by a judge with your specific and correct name and address on it.
5. If they have a signed judicial warrant, it MUST have the exact name and address of the person they are looking for. If in a home, that person has to be present in order for it to be valid.

Make a family preparedness plan

Are you a business owner? ICE & Homeland Security only have permission to be in public areas. You can post signs that say "Private" on doors you want to clearly delineate as such.

If ICE shows up at your workplace:

1. Say: "This is a private business. You do not have permission to be here. I'm not going to answer your questions if you don't have a signed judicial warrant."

2. Call Siembra, NC: 336-543-0353 or your attorney.

3. Verify the warrant is a judicial warrant by confirming it begins with "District Court" or "State Court."

4. If they ask to speak to a specific worker and do not have a signed judicial warrant, don't share any info! You don't even need to confirm if the person works there.
