Hello, Friend!
As the holidays fast approach, we must not forget our shelter- and food-insecure neighbors. On any given night, 580,000 Americans experience homelessness, 44 million Americans face food insecurity, and 37.2 million Americans live below the poverty level; these are real and systemic issues that are dealt with across the country.
These numbers are more than statistics—they reflect real families fighting to make ends meet, children facing uncertain futures, and communities pushed to their limits during what should be a festive time of year. They tell a deeper story of systemic and persistent inequality, reminding us that the holiday season is not joyful for everyone.
NCRC’s action-based mission continuously works to turn that story around. Our unique mix of investigations, research, investments, media, grant-making, training, advocacy, and affordable housing development strengthens communities to provide temporary or permanent shelter for those in need.
Donate today to ensure the right to housing and food is a national priority and local reality.
