Yes, it’s that time of the year again—the most obscure, bizarre, and completely made-up holiday on the Democratic calendar: National Defeat Boebert Day.
But don’t be fooled, today is critically important.
We celebrate today because Democrats have a real shot at sending Lauren Boebert packing once and for all. We can end her politics of hate, violence, and racism on route to winning back the U.S. House in 2026.
And honestly, it might be the greatest gift our party gets in 2026.
Why do we celebrate today of all days? Well, because Boebert is more vulnerable than she has ever been. She’s literally in Congress because of just 546 votes. Last quarter she raised just $100,000 (5 times less than us), which would be a competitive haul in a county dog catcher race—not so much for a sitting member of Congress.
And when labor leader, public servant, and Democrat Trisha Calvarese ran against her in 2024, our campaign had the best Democratic performance ever in this district and outperformed Kamala Harris by six points.
These are the ingredients for a political miracle—but opportunities like this don’t come around often, and they don’t last long. That’s why National Defeat Boebert day exists: to remind us that this chance is right in front of us, and we have to take advantage of it.
