I was raised by my mom and grandmother. My mom was an insurance clerk, and my grandmother was a blackjack dealer who used her tip money to put me through college. They both worked long hours and taught me how to work hard, give back, and fight for what’s right.

When I settled in Westminster to raise my family, I saw firsthand how our public schools were underfunded. I rolled up my sleeves and became chair of our school district’s bond campaign, and later co-founded an education advocacy organization dedicated to empowering students and their families.

That work inspired me to run for office — first for Westminster City Council, then for the State House, where I proudly serve today. In the legislature, I’ve fought to create and protect jobs, support small businesses, combat climate change, and defend abortion rights.

Now, I’m running for Congress to stop Donald Trump and Gabe Evans’ assault on our way of life and make sure Colorado remains a place where everyone can achieve their dreams.
