John,
Nearly 100 years ago, the 19th Amendment was adopted to the U.S. Constitution finally granting women the right to vote.
Even with all of our progress over the last 99 years, we still have so much work to do.
Women across the state still make less than their male co-workers, women's reproductive rights are under attack, and we are one of the only developed nations with no federal paid family leave program. We cannot fully celebrate Women's Equality Day until women are truly treated like equals.
So today, as we recognize the adoption of the 19th amendment and women finally earning the right to vote, let's also make a commitment to do better. If you're with me, add your name to stand up for women's equal rights today.

The trailblazers and suffragettes who came before us fought to expand women's rights, and move us closer to a more prosperous future. But we cannot take their actions for granted.
Women and girls across Kansas deserve the same opportunities as anyone else, and as your governor, I am committed to continuing the fight of those who came before us. I hope you're standing with me.
Please, join me in recommitting to the fight for equal rights today >>
