Donald Trump’s administration is waging a coordinated attack on trans rights.

From reinstating the ban on transgender military service, to pushing the Justice Department to label transgender people as “mentally ill,” to threatening doctors and hospitals that provide gender-affirming care — these are not isolated actions. It’s a deliberate effort to erase trans people from public life.

In the Senate, I’ve stood against these policies at every turn. I’ve introduced legislation to protect gender-affirming care, to expand civil rights protections, and to ensure our federal laws treat every person with dignity. And I’ve worked to block right-wing riders in must-pass bills that target the LGBTQ+ community.

But this fight can’t happen in Washington alone.

Christopher Street Project is organizing across the country to hold lawmakers accountable and push back against these dangerous policies in real time.
