Hi- If the NRA could make one birthday wish tonight, it would be for more guns in more places—even if more guns end up in the hands of dangerous people. That's been their dream for a while now—and a nightmare for our country. The NRA has spent decades working to gut good gun safety laws, to push dangerous gun bills that put our students and children at risk, and to shield gun manufacturers from any accountability when their products destroy lives. Even now, the NRA's allies in Congress are trying to push a federal bill that would allow people with dangerous histories—or no safety training at all—to carry hidden, loaded guns in more public places in states that wouldn't otherwise let them all across America. But there is hope. This movement—made up of nearly 11 million volunteers, survivors, and supporters like you—has proven that the NRA can be beaten. We've stopped their reckless priority agenda before, helped pass stronger gun safety bills despite their best efforts, educated communities and the public on gun safety, and are helping to elect more Gun Sense Candidates who will stand up to their lobbying.
