Friends,
Even in a ceasefire, families in Gaza are still fighting to survive.
This week, torrential rain tore through tent camps. Mattresses were soaked. Parents tried desperately to keep their children warm as wind ripped through shelters made of tarp and blankets.
This Wednesday, November 19 at 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific, we’re convening Israeli and Palestinian experts to look directly at the crisis continuing in Gaza – and the Netanyahu government policies that still present obstacles to the free flow of aid and access to medical care. We’ll examine the impact these policies have on the people of Gaza and what must change to meaningfully address their needs.

I’ll be moderating the conversation featuring an exceptional group of humanitarian and human rights leaders who are closely monitoring the crisis and unafraid to speak with clarity and honesty:
- Bushra Khalidi, Palestinian Policy Lead at Oxfam
- Dr. Guy Shalev, Executive Director of Physicians for Human Rights–Israel
- Tania Hary, Executive Director of Gisha–Legal Center for Freedom of Movement
These are some of the sharpest, most grounded voices working to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza today – people who understand not only the human toll but also the political and logistical systems that determine whether aid gets in, who is responsible for what, and how actors, including the Netanyahu government and Trump Administration, are shaping daily life on the ground.
These experts will also help us understand how upholding the vital humanitarian elements of the ceasefire directly supports regional stability and security.
Register to join us Wednesday at 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific >>
I hope you’ll be part of this important conversation and come prepared to take action with your J Street community.
