John,
There’s a very weak batch of Republicans running for Senate in Kentucky. My opponents’ FEC reports came out recently, and they tell a really important story:
Powerful interest groups are going to do their best to buy this seat.
Mitch’s former interns collectively have over $8 million in the bank, and brought in close to $3 million last quarter alone. Here’s the thing: Only 17% of those funds were from smaller-dollar donors — that tells us the wealthy and powerful believe this seat belongs to them, and they’re willing to spend millions to keep it.
Look, we do things differently, and I’m proud of it. The average donation to this campaign is $33, and together with folks like you, we have proven that we can go toe to toe with even the most powerful interests.
So I’m asking you to be part of this from the start. Will you split a donation — of $33 or whatever you can — between me and Maggie Hassan to be a founder of this grassroots campaign?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation to Amy McGrath and Maggie Hassan will go through immediately:
Democrats need to flip four seats to have a chance at winning back the Senate majority. That means fighting like hell for open seats like this one. I’m in, and I appreciate all your help to make sure we build the kind of grassroots campaign that can win.
Thanks — more soon,
Amy
