earlier this year. The documents suggest a broad conspiracy by several
states to prosecute Americans over 2020 election disputes.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton announced that the Supreme Court
of the United States has granted review in a landmark election
integrity case brought on behalf of the Libertarian Party of
Mississippi. The case seeks to uphold a ruling by the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which struck down a Mississippi law
unconstitutionally allowing election officials to count mail-in
ballots received up to five days after Election Day. Fitton stated:
The Supreme Court now has an opportunity to reaffirm that “Election
Day” means what it says under federal law. Counting ballots received
after Election Day not only violates federal law but encourages voter
fraud and undermines voter confidence. The Supreme Court should uphold
the historic decision by the Fifth Circuit that sensibly concluded
that counting ballots received after Election Day is unlawful.”

states can accept mail-in ballots days after the designated Election
Day.
Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton, whose organization wrote an amicus
(friend of the court) brief in support of the Supreme Court taking the
case, said, “The Supreme Court now has an opportunity to reaffirm
that ‘Election Day’ means what it says under federal law.” He
said that, “Counting ballots received after Election Day not only
violates federal law but encourages voter fraud and undermines voter
confidence.” This is objectively true.

HOBBS SUED FOR NOT COOPERATING WITH ICE

Judicial Watch is suing Gov. Katie Hobbs, accusing her of ordering
state police and National Guard to not cooperate with federal
immigration authorities and then hiding that fact.
The national organization, which is known for filing public records
lawsuits, contends that statements the governor made shortly after
President Trump was elected in 2024 are tantamount to declaring she
won’t use state resources to enforce his order for mass
deportations. And that, the lawsuit says, runs afoul of a state law
that bars public officials from restricting the enforcement of federal
immigration laws, a position buttressed in a statement in a press
release from Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.
