Trump is turning the White House into a monument to greed and corruption.

He tore down the entire East Wing of the White House — without permission from the National Parks Service, which is in charge of maintenance and preservation — to build a $300mil, 90,000-square-foot ballroom financed by corporations and billionaire investors.

As much as Trump likes to claim this is about hospitality, we all know that’s a lie. It’s blatant corruption.

He’s essentially selling off the White House to the highest bidder. A ballroom built on bribes, where the wealthy and well-connected can toast themselves while families across the country are struggling to afford groceries and healthcare.

This is exactly what happens when billionaires bankroll politics — when dark money and corporate influence drown out the voices of working people.

I refuse to stand by while Trump turns the White House into his personal palace. I introduced both the The Campaign Transparency Act and the Stop the Super PAC-Candidate Coordination Act in September to fight for campaign finance reform and get dark money out of politics.
