Dear A.,

The U.N. Security Council (UNSC) is
[link removed]
set to vote today on the U.S.-backed resolution for the creation of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza. The proposed ISF would work with Israel, Egypt and newly trained Palestinian law enforcement officers to help secure the enclave from terrorist groups — such as Hamas — and ensure humanitarian access and civilian safety.

The resolution also calls for the creation of a "Board of Peace" to oversee the administration of the Gaza Strip through the end of 2027.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem immediately came out against the UNSC draft resolution,

stating that the U.S. plan does not "serve the stability of the situation in Gaza."

Speaking about the Hamas-controlled portion of the Strip at a cabinet meeting yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

said , "the supposed ‘non-demilitarization’ of the part of Gaza still in Hamas’s hands. There will be no such thing. Under the 20-point plan, and in everything else, that area will be demilitarized and Hamas will be disarmed."

Meanwhile, the IDF is making progress on destroying Hamas' terrorist infrastructure in the Israeli-controlled parts of Gaza. Yesterday, the military

announced that it had demolished a kilometer-long tunnel in Beit Hanoun.

The IDF has made clear that it will continue to operate in the area to "dismantle the remaining terrorist infrastructure in the area, both above and below ground. The infrastructure sites are located east of the Yellow Line, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement."

As part of their ongoing operations in Beit Hanoun, the IDF seized the personal diary of Hamas commander Khaled Abu Akram. Akram's journal entries detail Hamas' intentional use of civilian infrastructure for their attacks.

May 2024 excerpt discussed how Hamas "set up a new ambush at the Al-Naim school after the tunnels in the area were bombed," and how they "took the batteries from the UNRWA clinic, removed the solar panels, and prepared the water well," he wrote.

Tell Congress: Reject False Accusations of Genocide Against Israel

Anti-Israel Rep. Rashida Tlaib is pushing a resolution falsely accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza for defending itself against Hamas’ horrific October 7 massacre. The resolution calls to block arms to Israel, prosecute American citizens and companies, and put sanctions on the Jewish state.

TAKE 45 SECONDS: Contact your members of Congress and urge them to condemn the resolution and refute this false accusation.

Netanyahu

said , "I view with great severity the violent disturbances and the attempt to take the law into their own hands by a small, extremist group that does not represent the residents of Judea and Samaria. I call on the law enforcement authorities to deal with the rioters to the fullest extent of the law. I intend to deal with this personally, and convene the relevant ministers as soon as possible to address this serious phenomenon. I stand by the IDF and the security forces, which will continue to act resolutely and without fear to maintain order."

Additionally, the IDF conducted

multiple raids overnight in southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah military and weapons sites as the terror group seeks to restore its capabilities.

The United States must continue to increase the pressure on Lebanon to compel it to fulfill its stated commitment to fully disarm Hezbollah.
