We have GOOD news JOHN…finally!
In January, the Department of Defense banned books in public schools on U.S.
military bases, citing "wokeness." These federally run schools, serving
children of active-duty servicemembers, are directly controlled by the
president and secretary of defense, who dictate what military families'
children can read.
BUT last month, a federal judge ruled enough is enough — ordering the Defense
Department toimmediately restore all banned books and curricular materials
removed since January, and to stop any further removals.
This ruling is a major victory for free expression and honest education. But
make no mistake: Trump and his allies will fight back.
We need to make sure we have a strong grassroots coalition to meet them. Will
you chip in today to help us defend the freedom to read — in every school, for
every child, including those in military families?
