It's about to get really real: Primary ballots should start arriving in the mail this Friday, July 17th, for Washington state voters.

We can't protect the Democratic majority in the House this fall without getting through our primary first. For us, it'll be a test to see how our team will come together before the general election.

We're in a seven-way race that includes two Republicans. We absolutely can't take anything for granted -- because no incumbent ever should. We're determined to show voters why Suzan deserves two more years representing the folks of the First District.

But especially when we can't host in-person events and casual meet-and-greets on the corner, we have to do a lot more outreach to meet voters where they are. And that requires resources.
