We are looking for enthusiastic, driven leaders that are passionate about the Chamber and want to help us expand membership and achieve our mission. To be considered for Board service, a Chamber member must be in good standing and be able to fulfill the following responsibilities: Prepare for and attend Board Meetings. Board members are expected to review the meeting packets in advance and attend regularly scheduled Board meetings. Participate in Chamber Events and Activities. Board members are expected to demonstrate leadership and participate in events and other activities offered by the Chamber. In addition, Directors should encourage and assist members to do the same. Support the Chamber Financially. In addition to their membership dues, Directors will pay an annual assessment to cover the cost of luncheons, mailings and associated administrative expenses. Beyond this assessment, Directors should consider the Chamber as a focused recipient of community engagement resources from their organization. Encourage others to join the Chamber. The foundation of the Chamber is a stable and growing membership. Directors should be champions of the Chamber and actively encouraging others to join. View the full list of Board expectations. He engaged members of the committee in a broad discussion that touched on economic development, permitting, transportation, and housing. de Ferranti seeks continuous feedback from the community, and welcomes input from the Chamber on issues facing Arlington’s businesses. The Government Affairs & Economic Development committee will continue its discussions with policymakers in September, this time turning to Richmond, when it welcomes members of Arlington’s General Assembly delegation.
