John,

This Thursday is World Children’s Day — a perfect day to recognize the progress we’ve made for children and reflect on the challenges they’re facing today.

Right now, too many children are going days without food, missing out on an education or losing the safety of home. We have a responsibility to be there for kids — wherever they are — to ensure they have a healthy start in life. When we all do our part, we can create a better and brighter future.

I’m so grateful to witness firsthand the difference supporters like you make, helping children regain their health, return to school and discover safe places to play.

It’s why, ahead of World Children’s Day, we’re announcing a limited-time, dollar-for-dollar match* until November 20 at midnight — and an ambitious goal of 1,000 supporters pitching in by the time World Children’s Day ends. Your gift today can be matched to help more children find safe shelter, recover from malnutrition and receive the quality education they deserve.

Will you donate before World Children’s Day to support children in crisis zones around the globe?

For over 100 years, Save the Children has been the leading organization reaching children wherever they are to ensure their safety, deliver medical care and provide education during the most challenging moments in history.

This year has been particularly hard for children due to violence escalating in places like Ukraine and Sudan, hunger spreading in places like Gaza and Ethiopia and natural disasters becoming more frequent in coastal cities around the U.S.

While conflict rises, famine spreads and children face increasing danger, billions of dollars in humanitarian aid funding have been slashed – leaving children without the lifeline they so desperately need. Save the Children remains committed to reaching families in crisis, but we can't do it alone.

This World Children’s Day, we must show up in numbers, step up our efforts, prioritize children and ensure their rights are protected everywhere.

Can the world’s children count on you to be one of the 1,000 committed supporters we need to make a difference today?

Every gift you make today until Thursday can be matched dollar for dollar to make twice the impact for children who need it most.

Thank you,

Janti Soeripto

*A generous group of donors has donated to a matching gift fund to inspire more donors like you to support our work, and every $1 you donate will unlock $1 from this pool for the first $100,000 in donations until midnight on Nov 20, 2025.

Monthly gifts will be matched for the first monthly installment only. If we meet our match goal prior to receiving your one-time or monthly donation, your donation will not be matched but will still go to support our programs.
