Hello John,
Welcome to a later than normal weekly update from your local Green Party! Last week we enjoyed a sold out London Green Party Conference and our local election campaigns continued apace:
On Tuesday we had a great turnout, knocking on doors in White City. We spoke to nearly 80 people in just 2 hours and the responses were great.
On Wednesday we continued delivering our first leaflet across Colville for Cllr. Toby Benton.
On Thursday we were canvassing in Harrow Road for Faaiz and Charlie.
Saturday was London Green Party Conference day. We enjoyed speeches from Mothin Ali and Zack Polanski, as well as a number of panels, trainings, and fringe events. We also learnt that our membership in London has grown by 290% since last year's general election (see chart above). Thats 256 double decker buses worth of new Green London members!
Finally, we had a super Sunday campaigning in all four of our target wards. Our White City team knocked on more than 200 doors in just 2 hours! Most residents were really happy to hear from us and to see that we care about their area. Canvassing is powerful, could you join us next week?
This week we have another packed schedule of campaigning:
Make this Sunday a Super Sunday of Green campaigning! We will be out in all of our target wards on Sunday, join your local campaign and help the Greens grow in West Central London.
