VIDEO OF THE DAY: After months of stonewalling, Trump pulls abrupt U-turn and tells Republicans to vote IN FAVOR of releasing Epstein files

In a humiliating about face, Donald Trump took to Truth Social yesterday and — after months of screaming and thumb-smashing otherwise — said Republicans should now vote in favor of releasing the infamous Epstein files. Faced with the prospect of mass defections by GOP House members who suddenly don't want protecting pedophiles and sex traffickers on their CVs, the MAGA cult leader looked at the cards left in his hand and opted to fold. Going forward he will, of course, claim he was always in favor of releasing the files. Unfortunately for Donald, there are literally hours of footage proving otherwise.

Trump flips out on another late-night TV Host over a rerun episode, wants him fired "immediately"
Donald just can't seem to find the fairway in life these days; it's just one shank into the rough after another. And for a guy who claims to loathe American late-night television, he sure seems to tune in a lot. Triggered by a recent rerun of NBC's "Late Show," the MAGA cult leader took to his social media platform over the weekend and declared, "Seth Meyers is suffering from an incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome" and called on NBC to fire him "IMMEDIATELY!" It's nice to know the president of the United States and purported leader of the free world is laser-focused on the issues that matter most to ordinary Americans, a lot of whom are struggling just to get by: settling scores with comedians who say not nice things about him on TV late at night.

Veteran Richard Ojeda takes on one of Trump’s top allies

Richard Ojeda for Congress: Richard Ojeda served his country for 24 years in the US Army, and now he’s ready to do it again in Congress. He’s running against one of Trump’s top cronies, Richard Hudson, who just so happens to be the man who told his fellow Republicans to stop holding town halls and just ignore their constituents. It’s time the American people had some leaders who will actually listen to them and not just their millionaire donors. Will you chip in to help Ojeda flip this critical seat in a must-win battleground state?

GOP lawmaker behind Epstein push fires back after Trump attacks his marriage
House Republican and perpetual thorn in Donald Trump's side Thomas Massie brushed off fresh barbs from the MAGA cult leader, who took a pathetic potshot at the congressman for remarrying in October after his wife of 30 years suddenly passed away last summer. Trump, a 79-year-old serial adulterer currently on his third marriage, thumb-smashed, "Did Thomas Massie, sometimes referred to as Rand Paul Jr., because of the fact that he always votes against the Republican Party, get married already??? Boy, that was quick!" Massie dismissed the narcissist-in-chief as nothing more than a bully, telling reporters: "You know, my wife told me, she said, 'I told you so ― we should have invited Donald Trump. He’s mad that he didn't get an invitation.'" More shots fired!

Trump doubles down on MTG "traitor" smear, shrugs off idea that he's putting her in danger with his incendiary rhetoric
The gulf that has opened up between Donald Trump and erstwhile MAGA champion Marjorie Taylor Greene shows no signs of closing, with the wannabe dictator declaring the Georgia congresswoman a "traitor" in his latest broadside. Greene, once one of Trump’s most faithful defenders, has become a sharp critic in recent weeks and has pushed for the full release of the infamous Epstein files, a break from the MAGA cult leader that has left him infuriated. Greene received a pipe bomb threat over the weekend, which she attributed in part to the dangerous rhetoric Trump famously peddles on the regular. When asked by reporters, Trump blithely responded: "Marjorie 'Traitor' Greene. I don’t think her life is in danger. Frankly, I don't think anybody cares about her." For any Republicans pondering their allegiance to the authoritarian despot, the message is clear: cross the boss at your own peril, physical or otherwise.

Trump has no problem with Tucker Carlson interviewing Nick Fuentes: "Get the word out"

Fox News fall out boy Tucker Carlson has faced plenty of criticism for platforming the insufferable neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes in a recent, two hour-long interview, even from a smattering of voices within a Republican Party that has grown disturbingly tolerant of, well, deeply disturbing intolerance. The Fuentes interview has racked up more than six million views since it aired two weeks ago, raising serious questions about just how contagious far-right extremism has become in the age of Trump. Speaking with reporters on his way home from yet another taxpayer-funded golf trip to Florida, Trump was asked to weigh in. The MAGA cult leader said he had no problem with the interview because it's important to "get the word out" and let the "people" make up their minds — on...normalizing white supremacy. Uh, okay, sure. When asked by one reporter, "What role do you think Tucker Carlson should play in the Republican Party and the conservative movement?" America's malignant narcissist-in-chief responded in vintage Trumpian fashion: "Well, I found him to be good. I mean, he said good things about me over the years. He’s — I think he’s good. We've had some good interviews. I did an interview with him, we were at 300 million hits." There is but one metric by which all people are judged in Donald's world, no matter their transgressions: ego stroking.

Far-right group with links to neo-Nazi leader offers online military training
In the underworld of accelerationist neo-Nazis, where talk of attacks against western governments are commonplace, the spread of illegal weapons manuals and tradecraft on drone warfare are proliferating. Experts say, in some cases, that classes are being taught online with the input of leadership from proscribed terrorist groups with links to Russian intelligence. Authorities have been warning, on both sides of the Atlantic, about the accessibility of drone technologies and military veterans on the far right with the knowhow to use them, presenting a grave national security threat. "Offering military-style training materials, including drone tradecraft, to the extreme right indicates that this is for prepping purposes," said Joshua Fisher-Birch, a terrorism analyst with close to a decade of experience tracking militant movements. "[To] improve the capacity of extremist networks to commit violence, or to encourage acts of violence specifically." Now, we know what you're probably thinking: this sure doesn't sound like "antifa," does it? 🙄

Hundreds of National Guard troops set to leave Portland and Chicago
With the once unwalkable streets of lawless Democratic cities finally purged of hordes of marauding giant frogs and chickens, and with nary a piece of litter in sight, National Guard troops are finally set to return home, having spent weeks away from their families and actual jobs in service of our ignoramus-in-chief's incredibly stupid PR stunt. Someone should really get Donald sized for a cape to go with this crown and sceptre.
