Stand with our young leaders advocating for migrants and our common home
John
Today, hundreds of students, educators, parishioners, and faith leaders are on Capitol Hill, meeting directly with members of Congress and their staff—advocating for migrants, refugees, and our common home. They are carrying the urgency, prayer, and hope of this past weekend's Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice into the halls of power.
Your voice can stand beside theirs by emailing your Senators and Representative today. Together, we can urge Congress to enact humane immigration policy and take bold, compassionate action on the climate crisis.
This call to holy action rises directly from the powerful experience we just shared at the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, where nearly 2,000 members of the Ignatian Family gathered in Washington, D.C. to reflect, pray, learn, and recommit ourselves to building a more just world. As always, the courage and conviction of young people was insipiring. In one of the weekend’s most stirring moments, Michael Libunao-Macalintal of Regis High School in New York challenged us with these words:
That spirit of holy stubbornness is animating our advocates as they meet with Congressional offices today. And with your action, your faith, and your stubborn hope, it can echo even louder. Whether you are with us in Washington or are holding the Teach-In in prayer from afar, thank you for being part of this holy work. Let us continue to be stubborn in hope, stubborn in love, and stubborn in our pursuit of a world where all can flourish.
In solidarity,
