In Tarrant County, union leader and first-time candidate Taylor Rehmet pulled off a shocking upset in the Texas Senate District 9 special election. He didn't just compete—he led the field with 48% of the vote against the Dan Patrick-backed machine, and is headed to a runoff.
Working-class Texans are ready for leaders with lived experience of the same challenges they face, and they are showing up to vote for them. National pundits have written off Texas time and again, but our voters are proving them dead wrong.
This is the change we've been building towards, but we need to capitalize on this momentum right now.
