It’s the little things, friend.

Earning the chance to serve my community in the House of Commons wasn’t the result of luck. In fact, it was years in the making – years of hope and hard work, and years of door‑by‑door and call‑by‑call determination to help build a better Canada.

When I first ran for MP with Team Trudeau in 2015, we fell short of a Liberal victory by just 251 votes. We could have stopped there and given up, but we didn’t. My team and I fell in love with listening to people and working with our community to build a better future based on their priorities. I knew that winning in 2019 would take hard work from my team, volunteers, and myself – but I also knew that it was worth it. So we never stopped, friend.

We continued to knock on doors, build grassroots fundraising support, and attend events, but at the core of it all was having conversations with Canadians about what matters to them. And the feedback was clear, residents of Kitchener-Conestoga wanted their voice to be heard, and on October 21 of last fall they voted to Choose Forward(this time, winning by a margin of 365 votes!).

I know the importance of every knock, phone call, and grassroots donation – every action counts, whether big or small, especially now as we step up our organizing in new and virtual ways. Your support is what ensures we can keep Canada moving forward, and with more 250 days already having passed since Election Day 2019, I know that we can’t slow down for a moment.

We know that not everyone is in a position to give right now, and that’s ok – we appreciate you standing with us in every possible way. If you’re able though, please chip in $10 today (or whatever amount works for you) to support Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s work to keep Canada moving forward.
