[ [link removed]- ]Leaders We Deserve

Hey John, David here.

Yes. This is another political fundraising email.

And no, I’m not sitting here thinking, “Yay! We get to send
John another email!”

I know these can feel overwhelming. So the fact that you actually open
these emails, read them, and when you’re able to, you even chip in a few
dollars? That means the world to me.

Because right now, emails like these are one of the only real tools we
have to start building the next generation of progressive leadership.

We don't have corporate PACs. We don’t have lobbyists. We don’t have the
Democratic Party machine backing us.

But we have you. We have people. And sometimes that means we show up in
your inbox more than either of us would prefer.

But I promise you this, John:

The day young progressive leaders finally have a real seat at the table,
these emails stop. The day we aren’t fighting uphill for representation
and change? I will gladly stop emailing you. Honestly, my hope is that one
day our candidates reform the campaign finance system enough that
elections are won by who the best organizer is, not who can raise the most
money.

But we’re not there yet. And until we are, we have work to do — and we
simply can’t do it without grassroots support from people like
you, John.

We’re solving the chicken-and egg-problem that keeps our political system
so broken. The problem being that if we are going to change laws, we need
morally just leaders who don’t take corporate money. The other problem,
though, is that it’s very hard to build power without taking money from
special interests like private utilities or big pharma. That’s where you
come in. We need thousands of small-dollar donors to help grow the power
of our candidates so they can take on those special interests without
taking money from them.

We’re up against entrenched, powerful interests designed to keep things
exactly as they are. Electing bold, young progressives who want to
actually change things? That makes a lot of powerful people really
uncomfortable. And that’s exactly why Leaders We Deserve exists and why
we’re so powerful.

And your support fuels this fight. And yes, sometimes that means more
emails than you might like. But it’s not because we expect you to give
every time, but because when you can, it matters. The ripple effect is
real. A thousand small actions add up to generational change.

So, John if you’re in a
position to do so today, we’d be grateful.

[ [link removed]- ]We’d be especially grateful if you could start a small monthly
recurring donation of $5 or anything else you can give.
That’s the type of steady support that fuels this movement-long term and
lifts the next generation of young, progressive leaders. Monthly support
gives us the stability we need to know how many candidates in total we can
support in 2026.

Use the links in this email to start a recurring contribution to Leaders We
Deserve.

One day, when we win the power we’re building towards, your inbox will be
a lot quieter.

And our future will be a lot better.

Thank you for your support.
