Even as COVID-19 continues to spread across America like a wildfire, people detained in ICE custody are still packed closely together. We've seen major COVID-19 outbreaks across the country due to ICE's failure to implement proper preventative measures.
Now, we’re learning that ICE is spraying people in their custody with dangerous disinfectant chemicals. These chemicals have been causing detainees extreme symptoms like bleeding from the nose and mouth, pain and watering in their eyes, headaches, nausea, and even fainting.

The spray is meant to be used only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas, yet ICE continues to spray detained people in facilities that lack clean air circulation -- knowing the potential long term health conditions when the chemical is inhaled.
