,

This week before Thanksgiving, is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. It's a reminder that while many of us are planning holiday meals, too many families in Cincinnati are worried about where their next meal is coming from.

The numbers are sobering. Food banks across Southwest Ohio are seeing high demand. Families who never thought they'd need help are showing up because groceries are too expensive. Seniors are choosing between food and medication. Kids are going to school hungry.

It's affecting working families - people with jobs who still can't make ends meet because wages haven't kept up with the cost of living.

Here's what we can do:

Right now:

 - Donate to local food banks like Freestore Foodbank

 - Volunteer to serve meals at local shelters

 - Drop off non-perishable items at food collection sites

Long-term: We need policies that ensure hard work pays off. That means raising wages, lowering grocery costs, and strengthening programs like SNAP that help families put food on the table.

Republicans want to cut food assistance to pay for tax cuts for the super wealthy. That's unacceptable. I'm fighting against those cuts every single day.

No one should go hungry. Not in Cincinnati. Not anywhere.

Appreciate you,

Greg 💙🙏
