If our military isn’t getting paid, then neither should the U.S. Senators who forced the government shutdown in the first place.

Fellow Conservative,
This shouldn’t be that hard - if the government is in the middle of a record-long shutdown, members of the United States Senate (I’m looking at you, Democrats) shouldn’t be getting their damn paychecks.
The first thing I did when the government closed on October 1st was to instruct the Senate office responsible for distributing paychecks to NOT PAY ME.
If Democrats want to shut down the government over a policy debate, then they shouldn’t have the luxury of collecting a paycheck while millions of Americans go without. It’s out of touch. It’s hypocrisy at its worst.
But most of all, it’s in poor taste. I want to hear from you - would you back a Republican-led effort to strip U.S. Senators from being paid during future shutdowns?
