John, we have a lot to celebrate!

So far this year, we’ve elected over 60 climate champions all across the country. I’m talking seats in city councils, state legislatures, a public service commission, Congress, and more — wins that YOU made possible.

Many of these state and local candidates put in long hours with very little recognition. I want them to know just how proud we are. Will you take a moment to represent your community in Philadelphia and sign our congratulations card today?

I hope you take a moment to reflect on what you’ve been a part of and how your support is transforming not only the face of leadership in our country, but the daily reality for millions of people who call it home. Thank you!

At 87, I’ve lived long enough to learn that nothing is guaranteed, especially when you threaten the status quo that’s benefited the likes of Big Oil and corporate polluters for all too long. These state and local races? These are the ones Big Oil quietly buys and hopes we’re not paying attention to.

But on election night, voters sent a clear message: We’re done with politicians who bend to Big Oil and Big Bullies. We want leaders who lead with courage and integrity — leaders who will fight for clean air and clean water, who stand up to polluters, and who will defend our democracy from those trying to undermine it.

It’s for those very reasons that when voters raise their voices at the ballot box, they side with climate champions we’ve endorsed. That’s why we’re in this work together. That’s why we win together. And that is special.
