Hey John,
It’s Kate -- Elaine’s finance director. My whole job is making sure that we have the resources to defend this battleground seat in 2020, which means hitting every single one of our monthly benchmarks.
It took millions to flip VA-02 in 2018 -- and now that Elaine is facing a rematch against former Republican Congressman Scott Taylor in a presidential election year, we’ll need to raise even more to combat the down-ballot boost Taylor will get from Trump’s supporters.
But I just looked over our numbers, and the truth is, we won’t be able to reach our fundraising goal for July unless we majorly ramp up our efforts.
That’s why I’m turning to supporters like you for help -- will you chip in to our mid-month fundraising push to help us get back on track so that we can keep Elaine in Congress?
