John, I’m Marc Iannarino. I’m a working-class Navy veteran who
knows what it’s like to juggle jobs to get by and navigate a political
system stacked against ordinary people.
Today, I’m launching my campaign to defeat ultrawealthy Republican Darrell
Issa in CA-48 — which is now one of the closest districts in the country.
[ [link removed] ]I’ll tell you more about who I am and why I’m running for Congress, but
if you’re already with me, will you split a donation between me and Blue
Amp Action? This is going to be an extremely competitive race, so your
early support will make all the difference. →

Growing up, I moved around the country before putting down roots in
Southern California. Each move taught me the importance of resilience,
hard work, and community.
These values led me to enlist in the Navy, where I spent four years on
active duty and completed two overseas deployments.
After I returned home from service, I did what most Americans do: I rolled
up my sleeves and got to work. I often worked two or three jobs at a time,
behind the bar, in restaurants, and in corporate offices.
But most people in Congress aren't like me. They’ve never walked a day in
our shoes, and they either don’t get it or they just don’t give a damn.
And I’m running for this seat because it’s time for that to change.
I know firsthand what it’s like to wait months for a VA appointment. To
see friends take extra shifts to cover rent hikes. To watch families dream
of homes they can’t afford. To see critical programs debated by
politicians who’ve never relied on them.
That’s why grocery prices are through the roof and why healthcare
bankrupts us before it heals us.
Life has taught me that when there’s a problem, you don’t complain — you
fix it.
Working people deserve a fighting chance — to put food on the table, to
keep a roof over our heads, and to get healthcare we can afford. But if we
want to change how Congress works, then we need to change the kind of
people we send there.
I’m running for Congress because I couldn’t be more different from
politicians like Darrell Issa — and that’s a good thing. I know what it’s
like to stand in line, work a double shift, and fight for a fair shot. And
I’m ready to get to work fighting for people like you, John.
