After the historically-long government shutdown ended without a shred of hope of ending the affordability and healthcare crises, it’s never been more urgent to flip the House majority.
It starts with keeping my seat in CA-27 blue. Here are a few updates on our progress in my first re-election race:
- We already have multiple Republican challengers who are rallying the national GOP to turn this seat back to red. As one of the only Democrats to flip a district in 2024 and a “Frontline” at-risk incumbent, I’ve been a target of baseless attacks – and we expect outside spending to increase in the new year.
- Thousands of new voters are being folded into CA-27 with Prop 50’s passage, most of whom haven’t heard of me or what I stand for – our voter outreach efforts will be absolutely critical in the next few months. This was a huge win for combatting GOP gerrymandering, but it’s also an unprecedented moment in our race.
- Despite the new maps, my district is still listed by the election experts at Sabato’s Crystal Ball as one of the most competitive in the nation. We can’t afford to let our guard down for even a second – especially with the chaos in Congress proving the GOP can’t lead.
So, I have to ask: Will you chip in $3 or any amount before our mid-quarter fundraising deadline to boost our voter outreach and protect this seat?
