Here’s everything you need to know:

1. Republicans shut down the government for over a month… and used that time to raise huge sums of money. After House Republicans sent themselves on an eight-week vacation, they couldn’t be bothered to come to the negotiating table. But all those fancy, closed-door fundraisers? They had plenty of time for those. Now, we need to play catch up and make sure they don’t have a leg up in next year’s midterms
