Our Blue Dogs in Congress are trying to change that.
They are Democrats who focus on governing, not grandstanding. They listen first. They work across the aisle when it helps their communities. They are willing to tell their own side “no” when something does not add up.
That is exactly why they are under attack. Super PACs on the far right are spending millions to defeat them. They would rather see a safe seat go to an extreme voice than a problem solver who can actually pass a bill.
Here is the truth: if the Blue Dogs lose ground, the extremes get louder. Compromise gets harder. And the people who pay the price are the everyday folks who just want affordable healthcare, a job that pays the bills, and a safe community.
We are building a firewall against a future dominated by extremism by investing in pragmatic Democrats who can win tough districts and stay focused on getting things done. But we cannot do that without a strong base of grassroots support.
Blue Dogs are normal people in Congress who want to get sh*t done. We believe in freedom and we’re fighting to protect yours. We’re pro-America, pro-democracy, and working to pass fiscally responsible policies that benefit everyday, hard-working Americans.
