** THIS WEEK: Starling Honors America’s Veterans, Defends Oklahoma’s Energy Future, Outlines His Pro-Business Agenda
------------------------------------------------------------
This week, Jeff Starling campaigned in Mounds, Davis, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. Last night, Jeff spoke with City Elders in Glenpool. Here’s Jeff’s week in review:
Tuesday –– Honoring America’s Veterans
Tuesday, Jeff took some time to honor the nation’s veterans, including his parents who both served the United States in uniform, writing: “Their service, and the service of so many others, reminds us how blessed we are to live in America.”
Wednesday –– Petroleum Alliance Candidate Discussion in Oklahoma City

Read a few of Jeff’s answers…
“My commitment to this audience is to make the oil and gas industry welcome in the state of Oklahoma. My opponent was very supportive of the largest tax increase in the history of the state, which was on the backs of this industry, when he raised taxes by 150%… We need to have the most regulatory-and business-friendly environment for the oil and gas industry that we can have, and that is my commitment.”
“I’ve never run for political office before. This is my first time ever in campaign season. I’m a private-sector guy who has made my living and made my life in the private sector. I firmly believe in that Founding Fathers’ vision that you make a living and you make a life in the private sector. If you are fortunate enough, you go serve the public as an act of public service — it’s not a career — and then you get back out… I know you respect and are looking for people with that private-sector experience who can bring that voice to statewide elected office…”
“I’m committed to doing that, and you match that up with my national legal experience, with litigation for the oil and gas industry and others. I’ve sat in the chair, I've made the strategic decisions, I've put together the teams that have provided successful outcomes to this industry… I look forward to the opportunity to serve you as Attorney General and helping the men and women in this great room power Oklahoma and power the United States.”
Friday –– Speaking with City Elders in Glenpool

As a private-sector businessman and current Energy Secretary, Jeff worked to recruit companies and create jobs right here in Oklahoma. He’ll continue those efforts as Attorney General, modernizing the state’s legal system, cutting red tape, and making Oklahoma one of the best states to do business.
