In a minute, we’re going to ask you to contribute to the DNC ahead of today’s mid-month fundraising deadline. But first, let’s be clear about what’s going on right now:

Trump and Republicans have no interest in keeping health care accessible for millions of Americans. On top of that, Trump went all the way to the Supreme Court to prevent SNAP recipients from receiving their full benefits — a cruel and unsurprising act.

Trump wants to make Americans vulnerable so that he can swoop in and “save” the day. And to make it worse, Republicans are only fueling his fire. But here’s the thing: You’re not a hero if you put out the fire you started.

We can’t let Trump’s power continue to go unchecked.

That’s why this month is so important. At the end of November, we’ll face our first fundraising deadline since Democrats’ sweeping wins across the country earlier this month.

A lot of contributions will show the continued strength of Democrats’ opposition to Trump and Republicans’ billionaire-first agenda. They’ll show that Americans are ready for change and that we aren’t done fighting.
