Across the country, Americans are rising up against our fascist and cruel president.

They’re keeping their communities safe from illegal immigration raids, including organizing patrols and doing emergency planning with families and schools. They’ve also been showing up for their neighbors by helping SNAP recipients buy groceries or access free food during the shutdown.

During the government shutdown, I never stopped serving you. I led colleagues in Congress to push Trump’s administration to fund the life-saving food assistance program known as SNAP. To help the millions of people impacted, my team and I distributed food and raised money for food banks.

Joining my colleagues, I demanded Republicans renew the Affordable Care Act subsidies that help 21 million Americans afford healthcare. I also cosponsored legislation to safeguard our democracy and shield federal workers from the Trump administration's illegal layoffs.

We must keep speaking up and resisting. By standing up to defend each other and exercising our right to dissent, we fight fascism and make sure our constitutional rights are not eroded.
