** What’s new at PAWS
------------------------------------------------------------
This year, we’ll serve more than 26,000 homeless and at-risk pets! And you made that happen. Today, we’d like to tell you the story of five of them - Eddie, Elsie, Effie, Empanada, and Ember - previously an unwanted litter, now cherished members of a family, getting ready to spend the holidays in their loving homes.
As we enter the holiday season, we have a chance to save so many more. A generous supporter has launched a $20,000 Challenge Match ([link removed]) — doubling every donation through Sunday, November 23rd. Your kindness can save twice as many lives and bring us closer to a No Kill Chicago.

** Volunteer Spotlight
------------------------------------------------------------
“I want to be able to provide love and care to those animals in shelters when they haven't experienced that before. They may be anxious, scared or confused, and they don't have a voice to make that known, so they need people to advocate for their needs.”

This holiday season, your shopping can do more than check names off your list – it can save lives. Every purchase from the PAWS Shop supports our lifesaving work. Your gift helps rescue pets from unsafe situations, provides them with healing medical care, and gives them the chance to know love in a forever home.

** We need your help - vote for PAWS!
------------------------------------------------------------
PAWS Chicago has been nominated to participate in the Disparti Law Group's “Larry’s Holiday Billboard Giveaway”. The group is giving one non-profit organization a chance to display five ads on their digital billboards this Giving Tuesday— this can help us share our mission, raise awareness, and inspire support across Chicagoland.
Giving Tuesday is one of the most crucial fundraising days of the year for PAWS. The funds raised make possible the lifesaving work we will do all year long.
The voting period is now open – and we need your help. Each person can vote once a day, every day until voting closes on November 21 at 5pm. After you vote, you will get an email confirmation link that you must click on to confirm your vote.
Please feel free to share this exciting opportunity across your personal social media pages and with friends and family. Together, we can give PAWS Chicago a new platform this Giving Tuesday.

** Beware of scam accounts!
------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve recently seen several fake Instagram accounts impersonating PAWS Chicago and other animal shelters. These scammers often use our videos, photos, and even our address in their bios to trick people into sending money through PayPal or Venmo. Please always check if organizations are verified on social media with a blue check mark, and remember that you will only find us on social media @pawschicago. If you see a suspicious account, don’t engage — report it instead!
