Africa & Europe
Praise God for justice in the case of Rosette*, a 14-year-old survivor of sexual assault whose perpetrator was sentenced to four years in jail in Uganda. We celebrate Rosette’s courage as she testified despite cultural and linguistic barriers, and we thank God for the IJM team’s persistence in uncovering the truth and supporting her family. Please pray for Rosette’s healing and for the aftercare team as they walk with her.
Latin America
Praise God for a collaboration in Bolivia that brought together IJM staff, police officers and other professionals to strengthen responses to violence against women. These working sessions focused on shaping police interventions to be more timely, empathetic and survivor-centered. We are especially grateful for Colonel Sergio Bustillos Maldonado, whose leadership helped guide this effort toward lasting impact. Please pray that the outcomes of these sessions lead to more compassionate and effective support for survivors.
South Asia
Pray for our upcoming studies on how local justice systems are functioning. Our research partners will interview police, prosecutors, judges, social workers and other key officials to assess how well they are combatting human trafficking and how they perceive the system. These studies are critical for shaping our interventions and measuring the progress of IJM’s work. Pray for strategic planning, wise interviews and careful data analysis to help our learning.
Asia Pacific
Please pray for the enactment of the Taguig City Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Ordinance in the Philippines. This ordinance would equip local authorities to respond more effectively to online child exploitation and align with national efforts under Republic Act No. 11930. Pray that city leaders will prioritize its passage within the year and help protect vulnerable children from digital harm.
