We need to give you an honest update today:

Yesterday, Eugene reached out to you about our mid-quarter fundraising progress, and unfortunately, we are still pacing behind our fundraising goals.

Normally, this quarter is not tough for fundraising, but with the longest government shutdown in history affecting the livelihoods of so many, people were rightfully worried about their finances. And as a result, our fundraising plummeted.

We thought we could overcome it, but truthfully, with Trump’s dreadful political ploys and national Republicans attacking me, this quarter has proven to be a bit more difficult than we anticipated. And in a race this important, we cannot fall short.
