You’ve probably heard or read me say the phrase, “If everyone reading this chipped in right now, we’d meet our goal today.”

It’s kind of a mind-blowing idea, isn’t it?

A contribution of $5 or $10 may not seem like much. And it’s certainly true that one person’s contribution alone isn’t enough to fund a winning campaign. But when you’re part of a truly grassroots movement like ours, nobody has to do it alone.

As you read this email in Chapel Hill, there are thousands of other people reading it somewhere else too.

Some of them have already donated. Others will have donated by the time you finish reading this. Each of those contributions adds up. Before long it becomes enough to power our campaign and the work we do.

And even though we’re up against some of the wealthiest people in the country — Trump’s billionaire buddies, oil companies, corporate super-PACs, special interests of all kinds — we have a big enough movement to fight back and win.

So, I’ll remind you one more time: If everyone reading this chipped in today, we’d hit our November fundraising goal two weeks before the deadline closes. We’d go into the end of the year with some serious momentum on our side.
