Apologies for the early email, John, but I was drinking some coffee before heading out the door, and I needed to check in with some of our top supporters about something important!

I just got a status update on our mid-month fundraising drive – and to be honest, I was hoping for stronger numbers than we’ve seen come in so far.

The reality is it will be an uphill battle to defeat Zach Nunn. Defeating an incumbent is always challenging – and Zach Nunn has the full backing of Donald Trump and massive outside groups in this race.

But I’ve never let tough odds stop me before, John. I won my last race by just 29 votes in a district that Donald Trump also won – and it was because generous supporters volunteered their time, made sure their voices were heard, and chipped in $1 or $5 at a time. 

So I’m turning to you personally this morning because we’re running out of time to turn things around before we assess our mid-month (and mid-quarter!) numbers. Can you please make a contribution to my campaign today? Too much is at stake to let the opportunity to flip IA-03 slip through our fingers, and together we can win this.
